About

Our Center is rooted in the spiritual tradition of Kriya Yoga brought to the United States by Paramahansa Yogananda in 1920. The guiding principles found in the spiritual philosophy of our Center adhere to time-tested, universal, moral standards which contribute to overall wellness and progressive spiritual growth.

Meditate & Thrive exists to share the life-transforming teachings of Kriya Yoga, an integrated spiritual path that brings together the most effective elements of all systems of yoga. Learn more about Kriya Yoga here.

Our mission is to support the awakening of individuals, families, communities, and our world.

Our vision is the evolution of human consciousness toward spiritually aware, harmonious, and sustainable living.

We provide an inclusive space in which to apply practical, universal, spiritual principles. We offer spiritual instruction, online meditation, Vedic counseling, retreats, and spiritual study for people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.

We invite those who wish to gather with like-minded individuals to check out our calendar for classes and events. All are welcome.

Yogacharya O’Brian

The vibrancy of this ministry is sourced from the life-affirming teachings of Kriya Yoga as expressed in this lineage of teachers. Kriya Yoga is described in the ancient text, The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. These teachings were brought to the West by Paramahansa Yogananda in 1920. They were taught to his direct disciple Roy Eugene Davis and passed on by him to his disciple, and Acharya Priya’s guiding teacher, Yogacharya Ellen Grace O’Brian.
