Ministry News from Acharya Priya

Greetings Community,
As I reflect on the past nearly 20 years, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to share my learnings and spiritual growth with all of you. From teaching meditation and spiritual living courses to leading kirtans and bringing sacred music to spiritual centers with my partner, Francisca, I have been honored to witness and support your spiritual journeys. This is my dharma, my life purpose.

Over the years, I have collaborated with like-minded individuals and groups, while sustaining the ministry and its management primarily on my own. When we formed the non-profit, it was a blessing to have a committed, spiritually intelligent Board of Directors to co-lead with me. Together, we have focused on fulfilling the mission of Meditate and Thrive.

To maintain balance and receptivity to inspiration, I have come to understand that periodic times of rest and renewal are vital. I feel that time has come for me. In 2025, I will be taking an extended leave from the ministry, during which I will step back from all ministry activities and pause the non-profit organization for the entire year. The Board of Directors will maintain the organization’s administration during my absence.

As I made the decision to take this time of sabbatical, I heard a resounding “yes” from my entire being. As an introvert, I’ve often had to push myself to take on the role of teacher and community leader. These successive years of ministry have called for extra focus from me, and I have been very fulfilled in this role. Now, I am ready to take an inwardly directed break and immerse myself in spiritual practice, spend time with family, and make progress on creative projects that have been waiting patiently for their turn.

In the coming months through the end of 2024, we will gather to mark the conclusion of the current year and celebrate the dawn of the next.

With blessing,

Acharya Priya
